Whether you’re a runner, cyclist, swimmer or any other endurance athlete, if you want to perform at your best then you need to give your body the right foods to keep you moving fast through the finish line. The Racing Weight system by Matt Fitzgerald is just the program you need to help you achieve your goals, and Racing DQS is the app that will help you keep track of your progress and keep you motivated.

Use Racing DQS every day to record your food intake, broken down into the categories described by the Racing Weight System, and view an interactive graph of your overall progress.

Did you forget a serving of Lean Meats yesterday? No problem, all past entries are editable.

Don’t worry if you forget a day, you can always go back and create an entry later.

Are you a vegetarian? Then enter Vegetarian mode and get rid of the Lean Meat category.

Use the Racing Weight system to bring your performance to new levels, and use Racing DQS to keep you on track.

PRO TIP: To find out information about each of the categories, just press and hold one of the buttons on the main screen for a few seconds.

*Racing DQS is not affiliated with the Racing Weight system in any way.

Dont buy
So angry I paid $1.99 for this app and it contains adds. Total rip off.
Okay
This app is a good start in trying to follow the tenets of Matt Fitzgeralds DQS, but its non-intuitive and lacks information on each category. Racing Weight describes 5 categories: fruits, veggies, lean protein, whole grains, and lowest dairy. Yet this app has 6 categories, and there is no description, which is frustrating - how hard would it be to add a description of each category? That said, its the only app I have found which tries to calculate DQS, and it seems to be sound in terms of its calculations as well. Its a really good start.
solid
Does exactly what youd expect it to do. Simple and intuitive. I havent been using it long enough to use the graphing function but I cant think of much Id change. Other than the lame stock photo. Oh - and to the reviewer below - there are 6 categories in the book. You forgot nuts/seeds. The app matches up exactly. The groupn icons are a little hard to decipher but you learn pretty quickly - or just tap and hold to get the description. Well worth 1.99 if you want to follow this system.
Simply Effective
It doesnt get simpler than this. I dont have to remember the categories or what/how to score various foods. Nicely done.
Simple. Elegant. Effective
Love it! Just what I was looking for. Any chance of adding an alcohol counter?
